PHILADELPHIA JEWS
     FOR A JUST PEACE

Philadelphia Jews for a Just Peace (PJJP) is an association of Jews and allies in Greater Philadelphia working to promote a lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians based on mutual respect, justice, and equality.  PJJP is a chapter of American Jews for a Just Peace.

Recent PJJP projects include a successful campaign to plant olive groves in the West Bank, developing meaningful political rituals in the Jewish tradition, collaborating with local churches in the struggle for a just peace, and creating a booklet of historical and contemporary Jewish voices that dissent from mainstream historical narratives about Israel and Palestine.

We meet regularly in West Philadelphia and other parts of the city. If you would like to join our work, or want information on the date, time and location of our next meeting, please let us know!

PHILLY BDS:  Flash Dance for Boycott  Hits West Philly Supermarket

Shoppers and employees at the Fresh Grocer's flagship store at 40th and Walnut Street were surprised by a choreographed flash dance that was performed in the store by activists calling for a boycott of products that support Israeli mistreatment of Palestinians.  About 20 neighborhood residents dressed in black and wearing sequined red accessories danced in unison and sang an adaptation of a popular song by Lady Gaga to deliver their request that the store and its customers stop selling and stop buying Sabra and Tribe hummus products because of those companies' connections to human rights abuses in Occupied Palestine.
